DSUIA Cadets Visited an Exhibition of Pine Needle Weaving

Cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pretrial Investigation Bodies attended an exhibition of unique pine needle weaving artworks by Volodymyr YATSENKO.

In Dnipro, the works of Volodymyr Yatsenko, a craftsman specializing in creations made from natural materials, are on display. His art reflects years of experience and a dedication to preserving authentic weaving techniques.

During the exhibition, cadets not only admired the intricate creations but also learned about the history behind these artistic masterpieces. The craftsman shared the secrets of his technique, which he has preserved and refined in his family workshop, “Plietena Khvoia” (Woven Pine Needle). This workshop has become a hub for traditional art, where Volodymyr Yatsenko, alongside his family, creates unique woven pieces.

The cadets were impressed not only by the beauty and originality of the crafts but also by the master’s genuine dedication to his craft. The works inspire the preservation of national traditions and demonstrate that even simple natural materials can be transformed into true works of art.

Attending such events enriches cadets spiritually and fosters a love for national heritage. It plays a significant role in shaping well-rounded individuals who honor and contribute to the cultural traditions of their people.
