The Department of Special Physical Training at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs held a traditional table tennis training session for veterans.
The session welcomed both regular participants who have been attending DSUIA for nearly a year and newcomers—representatives of the Veterans’ Council of the Solone Territorial Community in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Under the guidance of Ukrainian table tennis champion Vasyl KOVAL, military veterans practiced essential techniques, including proper racket grips, ball strikes, and game tactics.
Participants also had the opportunity to train using new sports equipment—a ball-serving machine—which helped improve their defense techniques and reaction speed.
Experts highlight that table tennis provides balanced physical activity, strengthens the cardiovascular system, and has an overall positive effect on health.
The event was held as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ “Friendly Support” project. #friendly_support
