Students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev learned about the specifics and directions of the unit’s activities.
Rescuers emphasized the unit’s involvement in saving people, ships, and aircraft in distress, lifting sunken objects, and conducting underwater technical operations. They explained the primary tasks of their divisions, including responding to natural and man-made emergencies, mitigating their consequences, and working in extreme conditions such as smoke, gas contamination, high temperatures, explosion or collapse threats, and flooding. Special attention was given to first aid skills during rescue operations.
The lyceum students heard real-life rescue stories, learned about cooperation with colleagues from other regions, and discovered complex operations that require continuous professional development.
Additionally, the students had the opportunity to experience the role of rescuers firsthand, concluding that this profession demands strength, courage, and determination, with its primary goal being to save lives and make the world a safer place.
