At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, first-year cadets of the Faculty of Criminal Police Training took part in an interactive “Talk Show” session titled “The Cadet – A Future Professional. How to Become the Best.”
The event was organized by the Psychological Support Unit and combined open discussions, Q&A sessions, practical exercises, and expert advice. The main goal was to help cadets adapt to academic life, manage stress, build motivation, and strengthen team spirit. Topics included adjusting to new environments, motivation for learning, teamwork, and stress management techniques.
Cadets responded positively, highlighting that the open format allowed them to share their concerns and find answers to pressing questions. Many noted a reduction in anxiety, increased motivation, and improved teamwork skills.
According to Serhii VYSHNEVSKYI, Head of the Psychological Support Unit, the talk show proved to be an effective tool for psychological support, helping newcomers integrate into their studies while also developing valuable skills for their future law enforcement careers.
