The “Youth Worker” Basic Training recently took place in Dnipro, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in cooperation with the All-Ukrainian Youth Center and supported by the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine.
Among the attendees was Vladyslav YATSUK, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. DSUIA was represented by senior lecturers of the Department of Special Physical Training, Margaryta CHOBOTKO and Ihor CHOBOTKO, as well as DSUIA adjunct Yuliia TKACH.
The training aimed to enhance the qualifications of professionals working in the youth sector under decentralization conditions, focusing on the development and implementation of evidence-based youth policies at the local and regional levels.
DSUIA representatives explored key topics such as “Youth Policy,” “The Big Picture of Youth Policy,” “Who Works with Youth in Ukraine?”, “Youth Policy Cycle and Participation,” “Challenges and Principles of Youth Work,” and “Competencies of Youth Work Specialists.”
The training provided an opportunity to deepen knowledge in youth work, better understand the needs and interests of young people, and explore potential areas for their development.
