The two-day national free-fight competition and the traditional “Defender of the Fatherland” memorial tournament have concluded in Dnipro. The event was dedicated to the memory of Federation athletes who gave their lives defending Ukraine.
The memorial tournament featured young fighters in the 10-12, 13-15, and 16-18 age categories, while the Ukrainian Cup was a master-level competition for athletes aged 19 and older.
Cadets from the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) delivered an impressive performance, earning four medals:
🏆 Silver – Andrii Nechytailo (SR-331, 16-18 years, up to 57 kg)
🏆 Silver – Nazar Zlyi (DR-343, 19+ years, up to 83 kg)
🥉 Bronze – Artem Shapran (SR-332, 19+ years, up to 69 kg)
🥉 Bronze – Bohdan Riabchenko (KP-262-24-1, 16-18 years, up to 63 kg)
In the team competition, the Dnipropetrovsk regional team won the Ukrainian Cup, while teams from Kyiv and Sumy secured second and third places, respectively.
