Cadets of the Faculty of Pre-Trial Investigation Specialists at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in a practical training session held at the university’s criminalistics training grounds.
During the session, future investigators practiced methods and techniques for crime scene examination related to rape, armed robbery, shoplifting, and jewelry store theft.
A part of the training was conducted in a quest format, where cadets analyzed collected evidence, formulated hypotheses about the crime mechanism, identified possible suspect characteristics, and developed a psychophysiological profile of the offender.
Professor Ihor PYRIH emphasized the importance of a thorough crime scene investigation and the use of modern forensic tools for detecting, documenting, and collecting traces of a crime.
The session provided cadets with a valuable opportunity to reinforce theoretical knowledge through hands-on practice, develop analytical skills, and gain experience in real-life investigative conditions.
