NEWS

Professor Viktoriia ROGALSKA, a major of the police and a faculty member at the Department of Criminal Procedure at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, has been invited as a co-author and lecturer for the elective course “Procedural Interviewing.” The initiative is part of the collaboration between DSUIA and JustGroup.

The first students to undertake the procedural interviewing course are master’s students of the Faculty of Law at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and students of the Ukrainian Catholic University School of Law.

The course launch event featured speeches by Yurii BELOUSOV, Head of the Department of the Office of the Prosecutor General, Volodymyr VASYLCHUK, Senior Detective of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, and Vasylina YAVORSKA, leader of the JustGroup team. Practitioners who have applied procedural interviewing since 2019 will also be involved in teaching the course.

The course was developed by JustGroup with the support of the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights and the “Transformational Recovery for Human Security in Ukraine” project, funded by the Government of Japan and implemented by UNDP Ukraine.

This training program is based on the National Development Program “Procedural Interviewing. Basic”, which has already trained over 300 prosecutors, investigators from the National Police of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigations, NABU detectives, and representatives of higher education institutions.
