A lecture dedicated to honoring the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Cadets of the Faculty of Criminal Police Training of the National Police of Ukraine participated in the event.
The cadets were visited by Iryna REVA, a researcher from the Dmytro Yavornytskyi Dnipropetrovsk National Historical Museum. She delivered a lecture on the events of the Revolution of Dignity that took place in early 2014 in Ukraine. The lecturer emphasized the significant contribution of the residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region to the national resistance, which helped affirm the country’s European course of development.
Special attention was given to the tragic events of February 2014, when protesters were killed in mass shootings on Maidan—victims later known as the Heavenly Hundred. The cadets also watched a video presentation related to the topic.
The event served as a reminder that freedom and democracy are values that require protection and awareness. Future law enforcement officers must remember the lessons of history and steadfastly uphold the principles of legality, human rights, and justice.
