Cadets of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs and students of the Dnipro Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev took part in the university’s volleyball championship.
The event was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training of DSUIA with the support of the university administration. Its goal was to promote physical culture and sports, develop applied skills, foster moral and psychological qualities essential for future police officers, and select the best athletes for university and lyceum teams.
Following the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and a moment of silence in honor of fallen defenders, DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ihor KOVALYOV, addressed the participants. He emphasized that sports are a key component of modern police training and that the university continuously supports its athletes and contributes to their development.
The competition featured teams from the Faculty of Criminal Police Training of the National Police of Ukraine, the Faculty of Pre-Trial Investigation Training of the National Police of Ukraine, the Institute of Preventive Police Training of the National Police of Ukraine, and the Dnipro Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The final standings were as follows:
1st place – Faculty of Pre-Trial Investigation Training of the National Police of Ukraine
2nd place – Faculty of Criminal Police Training of the National Police of Ukraine
3rd place – Institute of Preventive Police Training of the National Police of Ukraine
