For three years, volunteering has been an integral part of the life of cadets at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. The students are actively assisting both the military and civilians, and they remain involved in various charitable initiatives.
At the volunteer hub Pavuchary from Dnipro, cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation of the National Police of Ukraine produced another batch of thermal mattresses and pillows.
The goal of this project is to care for the defenders who risk their lives daily in harsh conditions. The cadets select the materials, cut them, and sew the final products themselves. Before sending them to the front lines, they add words of gratitude and support along with wishes for a swift victory.
The students also take part in collecting and packaging essential goods. This time, they sorted metal cans, which are used both for storing food and for making trench candles for the soldiers on the front line.
The future police officers not only help people but also visited the local animal shelter over the weekend. The cadets brought food and other necessary items for care, fed the animals, spent time with them, cleaned, and tidied up the shelter’s territory.
Such initiatives foster a compassionate attitude toward animals, strengthen the cadets’ teamwork spirit, and contribute to psychological relief after classes.
