“Patriotism in Action: Strength of Spirit and Body” – Cadets Meet Legendary Azov Fighter “Khimik” and His Comrades

At the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev, a remarkable meeting took place between cadets and servicemen of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine.

The honored guests included Defender of Mariupol, Major Davyd “Khimik” Kasatkin, an officer-instructor of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov”, along with his comrades:

Junior Sergeant Ihor “Nova” Novytskyi, head of the Recruitment Center of the 12th SP Brigade “Azov” (Dnipro)

Private Vitalii “Brek” Brek, instructor at the Recruitment Department of the 12th SP Brigade “Azov”

Senior Private Dmytro “Romantyk” Chupylko, instructor at the Recruitment Department of the 12th SP Brigade “Azov”

The event began with a warm welcome and introductions, followed by motivational speeches from the servicemen, emphasizing the importance of military preparedness, basic military training, and a healthy lifestyle. The cadets listened attentively as the Azov fighters shared their personal experiences, key moments of their service, and their vision of patriotism.

A special part of the meeting was a mini-lecture on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and physical preparation for servicemen. The guests provided insights into:

Daily routine and discipline of Azov fighters

Training programs: endurance, strength, agility exercises

Mental resilience techniques: relaxation, meditation, and stress management

The role of teamwork and camaraderie in military service

The significance of patriotism in the mission of the 12th SP Brigade “Azov”

During the Q&A session, cadets had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the servicemen. Together with the guests, they developed guidelines on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and overcoming laziness to stay motivated for regular sports training.

This event, initiated by the MIA Department of Education, Science, and Sports, served as an essential step in fostering patriotism among youth, preparing them both mentally and physically for future challenges.
