Training for Internally Displaced Persons at DSUIA

NEWS

A training session for second-year cadets was organized by the Psychological Support Department of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

The event aimed to develop a sense of control, order, and self-confidence through the mastery of psychological methods, goal-setting techniques, and strategies for effective personal and professional development.

During the training, participants created individual plans for their career and life development, analyzed potential challenges, and explored ways to overcome obstacles. A crucial part of the session included psychological exercises, helping cadets engage in self-reflection and adaptive thinking in uncertain situations.

Experts emphasize that this type of training is a vital component of psychosocial support for individuals affected by Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. Establishing clear life goals contributes to psychological well-being and academic success.

According to psychologists, the ability to set goals properly is already half the journey to achieving them. The acquired knowledge and skills will help future police officers enhance their professional effectiveness, maintain high motivation levels, and develop resilience to stress.
