On February 26, 2025, Ukraine marks 11 years of resistance to the occupation of Crimea and the beginning of the war launched by Russia against Ukraine.
In the assembly hall of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, students, together with cadets from the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev, attended a lecture and presentation dedicated to the early stages of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The information was presented by Alisa HARKUSHA, a researcher at the Dmytro Yavornytskyi Dnipropetrovsk National Historical Museum.
Additionally, another lecture dedicated to the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol was held at DSUIA. It was delivered by Marina VOITYUK, a senior lecturer at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law, and Human Rights, and a police captain. The event was organized for students of the Institute of Training Specialists for Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine.
February 26 is a day meant to remind and honor the courage and resilience of thousands of Crimean residents who, on this day in 2014, gathered in Simferopol to support Ukraine’s territorial integrity. On this date, we also pay tribute to those who continue to resist the occupiers on the peninsula, risking daily arrests for their pro-Ukrainian stance and unwavering belief in the de-occupation of Crimea.
