Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs held a meeting of the Academic Council under the chairmanship of First Vice-Rector Ihor MAGDALINA.
Police Colonel Roman YAROSHENKO was awarded a diploma of Candidate of Legal Sciences.
Major of Police Iryna DROK, Head of the Research Laboratory for Preventive Activities and Sociological Studies of DSUIA, received a diploma as a laureate of the “Best Publication of the Year” competition, winning 1st place in the “Textbooks” category for her work “Grounds and Procedure for Applying Measures to Ensure Proceedings in Cases of Administrative Offenses in the Form of Administrative Detention.”
Police Private Denys LUSHPAIEV, a member of training group DR-341, was awarded a silver medal for securing 2nd place in the under 93.0 kg weight category at the European MMA Championship.
According to Order No. 1639 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated November 20, 2024, “On the Appointment of State Named Scholarships for the Best Young Scientists to Commemorate the Events of the Revolution of Dignity and Honor the Feat of the Heroes of Ukraine – the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred for 2025,” the Yuriy POPRAVKA Scholarship was awarded to Kristyna REZVOROVYCH, Head of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines at the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, and Associate Professor.
During the meeting, several key issues were discussed. In particular:
• The academic performance of higher education students in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year was reviewed.
• The organization of the educational process for postgraduate (adjunct) students in the first semester of 2024/2025 was addressed.
• The establishment of one-time specialized academic councils for the defense of PhD dissertations in the specialty 081 “Law” was approved.
• Amendments were made to Appendix No. 1 “Register of Corruption Risks” of the Anti-Corruption Program of DSUIA for 2023-2025.
• Professional programs for short-term professional development, advanced training, and specialization of police officers were approved.
Finally, several educational and methodological materials were recommended for publication and use in scientific activities and the educational process.
