NEWS

The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs held a defense of internship results for final-year cadets. The two-day defense was conducted in the format of a police quest.

The evaluation commission included university professors and heads of practical units. The defense took place using elements of a police quest at the training grounds of DSUIA.

Before the internship defense, university administration representatives met with the cadets. The First Vice-Rector of DSUIA, Ihor MAGDALINA, emphasized the importance of following reporting procedures and highlighted the need for a responsible approach.

Special attention during the defense was given to practicing the actions of investigative and operational groups at crime scenes related to war crimes. Additionally, the specifics of pre-trial investigations of criminal offenses committed under martial law conditions were reviewed.

Cadets demonstrated a range of practical skills, including drafting crime scene inspection reports after a missile strike, examining the body of a deceased person, searching for evidence in a room with a hidden weapon cache, and inspecting a vehicle. They also organized and conducted searches in cases related to illicit benefits, used information and analytical tools to detect crimes in public procurement in an online format, carried out the detention of offenders, and demonstrated surveillance measures.

Following the defense, the commission members summarized the results and provided recommendations for improving the practical training of cadets.
