NEWS

A lecture for cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for the Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine was delivered by Maxym ILIENKO, a forensic expert at the Military Research Laboratory of the Dnipropetrovsk Research Institute of Forensic Examinations of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and a retired colonel.

The topic of the lecture was “Tactics as a Form of Military Art. Basic Concepts of General Military Combat.” The lecturer shared valuable insights, combining theoretical knowledge with his own practical experience.

According to Maxym ILIENKO, tactics, as a component of military art, play a crucial role in the training of future law enforcement officers. In today’s conditions, where national and public security are of utmost importance, knowledge of general military combat fundamentals helps police officers better navigate real combat situations. This is essential for working in conflict zones, counterterrorism operations, and maintaining public order.

Additionally, such knowledge enhances understanding of cooperation principles between military and law enforcement structures, enabling more effective execution of official duties. It also helps develop analytical skills and decision-making abilities in extreme situations—an essential competency for working in high-risk environments.

The expert emphasized that combining theory with practice is key to training highly qualified professionals capable of effectively protecting the interests of the state and its citizens.
