Students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev took part in a meeting with Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr ZAKHARCHENKO, a representative of the Central Territorial Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The topic of the session was “Fundamentals of Ensuring Ukraine’s Cybersecurity. The Capabilities of Your Digital Device.” During the meeting, students became familiar with professional terminology and learned that cybersecurity is the protection of the vital interests of individuals, society, and the state in cyberspace. It ensures the sustainable development of the information society and the digital communication environment.
Volodymyr ZAKHARCHENKO emphasized that, in response to modern challenges, there is a growing trend toward the creation of cyber forces. Their tasks include not only protecting critical information infrastructure from cyberattacks but also conducting preventive offensive operations in cyberspace.
Students also learned the basic principles of cyber hygiene, the consequences of digital addiction, and ways to counteract it. They concluded that cybersecurity is one of the key priorities in Ukraine’s national security system.
Participants also watched a video about the formation and activities of assault brigades within the National Guard of Ukraine and listened to personal stories from representatives of the Central Territorial Administration of the National Guard.
