Painting Studio Classes for DSUIA Cadets

NEWS

Cadets of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs attended the “ARTSONTSE” art therapy and painting studio, where they worked under the guidance of certified art therapy specialist Taisia POLYAKOVA.

The session, organized by the DSUIA Psychological Support Department, aimed to restore the cadets’ psycho-emotional state, develop their motivational sphere, and activate their personal resourceful states.

Psychologist Vladyslav BIDNIAK noted that innovative authorial techniques were applied, including music therapy, art therapy (isotherapy), and metaphorical associative cards. These methods helped relieve psycho-emotional tension, enhance stress resilience by working through personal psychophysical resources, and boost cadets’ motivation for both professional and personal growth.

The main focus of the session with the art therapist was on working with emotional states through the perceptional impact of artistic self-expression tools. Additionally, autogenic relaxation and calming techniques were applied.

Experts emphasize that cooperation with qualified specialists in various branches of psychology is one of the key tasks of the Psychological Support Department. This ensures comprehensive psychological assistance for university cadets. According to Serhii VYSHNEVSKYI, head of the Psychological Support Department, the use of modern psychological methods is an essential part of professional support, especially in the context of martial law and contemporary challenges.

Conducting psycho-motivational activities has proven to be an effective way to support cadets’ psycho-emotional well-being and strengthen their motivation to master their chosen profession.
