This event is part of a comprehensive veteran support program implemented by Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Veterans were brought together by the university’s new initiative – the “Art Space” project.
The event featured invited guests – artisans from the Dnipropetrovsk Professional Art and Cultural College of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Marina SHEDLOVSKA and Marina GOLOVKO. The opening ceremony was attended by DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ihor KOVALIOV.
Petrykivka painting, with its bright colors and smooth lines, helps relieve stress, calm the nervous system, distract from anxious thoughts, focus on beauty, and restore inner harmony. Working with a brush and paints promotes fine motor skills development, which is especially important for those in need of physical rehabilitation.
Art provides an opportunity to express emotions that are difficult to put into words, thus contributing to emotional healing. Petrykivka painting is also an integral part of Ukrainian heritage, a symbol of national identity.
DSUIA strives to create comprehensive conditions for the rehabilitation and adaptation of veterans. These events are aimed at helping veterans reintegrate into full-fledged life, restore psychological balance, and discover new opportunities for self-realization.
