A meeting of the scientific club took place at the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pretrial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).
Chaired by lecturer Maryna Lohinova, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Police Captain, participants discussed the timely topic: “The Role of International Cooperation and Strategies for Ukraine’s Reconstruction on the Path to European Integration.”
Third-year cadet Hanna Terekhova delivered a presentation, focusing on the importance of political institutions in ensuring stability, order, and democracy amid contemporary challenges. She emphasized their role in engaging civil society in strategic decision-making and their critical function in shaping and implementing the state’s development strategy through policy formation, priority-setting, and international cooperation.
The speaker also analyzed how political institutions facilitate civil society involvement in strategic decision-making processes—through public discussions, consultations, referendums, and elections—ensuring public opinion is considered and decisions gain legitimacy.
Following the presentation, a lively discussion unfolded, with participants sharing insights and proposing improvements to legislative regulation and stability in the context of international cooperation.
At the meeting’s close, Maryna Lohinova thanked attendees for their active participation and invited them to future scientific club sessions.
