The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Organization of the “Dynamo” held a hand-to-hand combat championship as part of the “Dynamiada-2025” complex competitions. Among the awardees were cadets from Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).
Participants competed in various weight categories, ranging from lightweight (up to 60 kg) to super heavyweight (over 90 kg). Athletes showcased precision and skill in hand-to-hand combat techniques, including defense against weapon strikes and escaping holds.
The competition featured two sections—technique demonstration and sparring—with DSUIA athletes securing 3rd and 2nd overall team places, respectively.
The DSUIA cadets earned seven awards: Oleksandr Vyryshev took 1st place in the up-to-90 kg category, and Denys Lushpaiev claimed 1st in the over-90 kg category. Viacheslav Chornyi secured 2nd place in the up-to-60 kg category, while Andrii Nechytailo took 3rd in the same weight class. Bohdan Riabenko earned 2nd place in the up-to-65 kg category, Vitalii Naumenko took 3rd in the up-to-75 kg category, and Tymofii Tarasov finished 2nd in the up-to-80 kg category.
