Students of Dnipro MVS Lyceum Meet with Soldiers of the 12th “AZOV” Brigade

MIA Lyceum

On Ukrainian Volunteer Day, a meeting took place at Dnipro MVS Lyceum between students and soldiers of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “AZOV.” The defenders shared their combat experience with future law enforcement officers, discussed service in the special unit, and emphasized the importance of professional training during wartime.

The meeting featured Vladyslav “Hollywood” Naryshkin, a soldier and combat medic-sanitary of the 3rd class MARCH PAWS; Bohdan “Jumbo” Aleksieiev, a senior soldier and flamethrower operator; Serhii “Shchedryk” Motiash, a soldier and battery technician in the mechanical repair and maintenance unit; and Ihor “Nova” Novytskyi, a junior sergeant and head of the brigade’s recruiting center.

The soldiers addressed themes of personal choice, patriotism, and the motivation that drove them to volunteer. They highlighted the importance of recognizing the need to defend Ukraine, shared insights into performing combat tasks, and answered the students’ questions. The youth learned about the realities of serving in the 12th “AZOV” Brigade, as well as the value of unity, discipline, and resilience in extreme conditions.

The event concluded symbolically: the lyceum students thanked the soldiers for their contribution to Ukraine’s defense, expressed their support, and affirmed their readiness to carry on their legacy in the future. The soldiers, in turn, stressed that the collective good and the country’s future depend on each individual’s decisions.
