Students of the Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Honored the Memory of Oleksandr Hostishchev

On the anniversary of his death, the lyceum students visited the Krasnopillya Cemetery. The event was attended by the Vice-Rector of DSUIA, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ihor KOVALIOV, the Director of the Lyceum Kyrylo NEDRIA, the family of the fallen Hero, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and his comrades-in-arms.

Oleksandr HOSTISHCHEV was born on February 19, 1983, in the city of Dnipro. He was the commander of the Tsunami assault regiment of the National Police brigade “Liut.” On March 15, 2024, during a missile attack on Odesa, Oleksandr died while saving people. He was 41 years old. For his bravery and courage, he was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 2nd class.

On November 28, 2024, by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor KLYMENKO, the Dnipro Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum was named after Oleksandr Hostishchev.

The event became an important lesson in patriotism and respect for the heroes who gave their lives for the safety and peace of Ukraine.
