The event was organized for trainees of the Department of Advanced Training and Specialization at the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).
The session was conducted by Yevhenii Saienko, a prosecutor from the First Department of Procedural Oversight of the Procedural Oversight Office in Criminal Proceedings of the Investigative Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations under the Dnipro Regional Prosecutor’s Office, and Khrystyna Derevianko, a lecturer at the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure and a senior police lieutenant.
During the session, the specifics of qualifying crimes committed by officials were examined, with a focus on real-life practical cases. Particular attention was paid to judicial decisions of the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights in relevant cases.
The discussion also covered issues of compliance with legality and service discipline, the use of standard firearms and special equipment by police officers, and measures to counter corruption-related crimes during service.
The trainees actively participated in the discussion, solved practical tasks, and reinforced the knowledge gained during their specialization training on adhering to the core principles of service in the National Police.
