“Safe City”: DSUIA Hosts a Series of Binary Training Sessions for Cadets

A series of training sessions is being held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) with the support of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region. The initiative aims to familiarize cadets with the operating principles of the “Safe City” system.

The optional training sessions involve cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, and the Research Institute for Training Specialists for Preventive Activity Units of the National Police of Ukraine.

The sessions, held throughout the week, are led by Hanna Turchanikova, a lecturer at the Department of Tactical and Special Training and a police captain. Yana Lazareva, a senior inspector of the Analytical Work Department of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region and a senior police lieutenant, is a regular contributor to the series.

The training cycle is designed to introduce cadets to the principles of the “Safe City” system and the capabilities of its interface for maintaining public order, preventing administrative and criminal offenses, and ensuring timely and effective responses to emergencies.

During the sessions, cadets gain practical skills in working with information and analytical platforms used in law enforcement activities. They study information processing algorithms, analytical tools, and the specifics of cooperation between the National Police and other law enforcement agencies.

Upon completion of the optional course, participants will acquire basic knowledge about the “Safe City” system, its role in ensuring public order, and the safety of citizens.
