A Student of the Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Wins Gold at the Table Tennis Championship

MIA Lyceum

A student of the Dnipro Lyceum for Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, named after O. Hostishchev, Svitlana Oleinik, secured first place in the individual category at the Table Tennis Championship in Lviv.

The championship, held in Lviv, brought together students from lyceums of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) system from across the country. The event was organized at the initiative of the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for young men and women studying in security-oriented and national-patriotic lyceums of the MIA system, as well as in the Military Lyceum of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The event was officially opened by the Deputy Director of the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the MIA, Vadym Pyankovskyi, who wished the participants confidence in their abilities, fair competition, and unforgettable emotions from the game.

The championship was also attended by Viktor Didukh, an international-class Master of Sports of Ukraine, Paralympic Games champion, member of the national table tennis team, and Honored Coach of Ukraine. The competition regulations were announced by the chief referee, Oles Dopilko, a Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine in table tennis and a national-level referee.

Five teams participated in the competition, including athletes from the Dnipro Lyceum for Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education of the MIA, named after O. Hostishchev. The young players showcased a high level of preparation and strong determination to win.

Among the girls, Svitlana Oleinik delivered the best performance, winning the gold medal and reaffirming her sporting talent.
