A thematic event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the outstanding Ukrainian poet Lina Kostenko was held in the cultural hall of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
On March 19, the legendary poet celebrates her jubilee—95 years. Over decades of creative work, Lina Kostenko has become a true moral role model and a symbol of resilience for many generations of Ukrainians.
Lina Kostenko was one of the leading representatives of the Sixtiers generation—a period that introduced new styles, avant-garde ideas, and bold criticism of the government into Ukrainian literature.
Participants of the event listened to a lecture on Lina Kostenko’s literary legacy and realized that her voice is the voice of the nation, which remains just as powerful today. Her words serve as a mirror reflecting history, struggle, and the dignity of the Ukrainian people.
The event was organized by the Social and Humanitarian Work Department of DSUIA under the leadership of Police Lieutenant Colonel Nataliia Karnaukh.
