The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs in cooperation with the Escort Service Division of the Department for the Organization of Escort Service Units of the National Police of Ukraine’s Preventive Activities Department.
The lesson, conducted in compliance with security requirements, was held for second-year cadets of the Institute of Training Specialists for Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine. Its goal was to improve their professional skills in escort organization, human rights compliance, and security assurance during searches.
During the session, the Chief Inspector of the Security Measures Division of the Department for the Organization of Escort Service Units, Police Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Mostovyi, introduced cadets to the process of escorting detainees and individuals taken into custody, emphasizing key aspects of conducting searches.
Special attention was given to key regulatory legal acts and the step-by-step procedure for conducting searches—from maintaining control over the situation to documenting confiscated items.
Cadets, working in simulated escort teams, practiced the search procedure under the guidance of experienced instructors. Particular emphasis was placed on the practical aspects of escorting detainees and persons in custody, forming escort units, and involving female police officers in the escorting process. Additionally, the importance of respecting the rights of detainees and ensuring the safety of police officers during these operations was highlighted.
Practitioners shared their experience in operating escort units under martial law conditions and answered cadets’ questions.
