The Department of Language Training, in collaboration with the Department of Forensics and Pre-Medical Training at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), organized a webinar titled “Peculiarities of Investigating Crimes Under Martial Law.”
The event featured Joseph Jones, the head of the consulting firm OS2INT, a former British Army intelligence officer, and an official of the National Crime Agency. With extensive experience in Afghanistan, Libya, and Germany, he is recognized as an expert in investigating war crimes.
Cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine participated in the webinar. The discussion covered modern methods of investigating war crimes, the collection and preparation of evidence for international courts, cooperation with international organizations, and the importance of an objective and impartial approach to documenting crimes.
Additionally, Joseph Jones announced his intention to grant DSUIA the rights to use the Paliscope software, which can be utilized for training in open-source intelligence.
The webinar marked a significant step in the professional development of future law enforcement officers, enhancing their qualifications in line with international standards.
