The Department of Psychological Support and the leadership of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education initiated the event.
During the session, higher education applicants learned the fundamental principles, prohibitions, and recommendations for psychological support—for both themselves and others. Using real-life situations presented through video materials and insights from university psychologists, participants explored the causes, signs, and action algorithms in cases of psychological instability. Specifically, they analyzed conditions such as stupor, panic, panic attacks, disorientation, fear, crying, grief, nervous trembling, hysteria, and more.
Special attention was given to practicing psychological stabilization techniques, allowing participants to experience their effectiveness and better absorb the material. Students actively engaged in discussions, focusing on the practical aspects of providing psychological assistance.
Serhii Vyshnevskyi, Head of the Psychological Support Department, emphasized the importance of psychological education in today’s realities. Maintaining psycho-emotional balance under martial law is critically important, as life during this period is accompanied by heightened emotional strain, stress, and anxiety. Therefore, the knowledge and skills gained from these sessions will help participants sustain their psychological well-being and provide timely assistance to others.
This series of sessions will serve as a reliable foundation for developing psychological resilience and well-being among DSUIA’s higher education applicants.
