Sports Rehabilitation: Table Tennis for Veterans at DSUIA

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Regular table tennis training sessions for military veterans continue at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, serving as a crucial element in their physical and psychological rehabilitation.

In January 2025, the program expanded geographically as representatives of the Veterans’ Council of the Solone Territorial Community in Dnipropetrovsk region joined the training sessions. The veterans were coached by Vasyl Koval, a Ukrainian table tennis champion, who shared professional techniques and helped them improve their game skills.

Table tennis enhances coordination, reaction time, and overall physical condition while also reducing stress levels and strengthening veterans’ emotional well-being. DSUIA also provides opportunities for adaptive volleyball, martial arts, and access to a gym, contributing to the comprehensive rehabilitation of military personnel.

The university invites veterans to join the training sessions to improve their health and find support among like-minded individuals.

The event was held as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Education, Science, and Sports Department project “Friendly Support”. #friendly_support
