The Ukrainian Association of Women in Law Enforcement (UAWLE) conducted training sessions on “Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination” and “Psychological Self-Regulation.” These sessions were organized in collaboration with the NGO “Gender Stream” and took place at the UAWLE Hub in Kyiv.
The event was opened with a welcome speech by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Chair of the UAWLE Board, and Police Major Kateryna Pavlichenko.
Representatives of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) also took part in the event, including Larisa Nalyvaiko (joining online)—Assistant to the Rector on Gender Issues, UAWLE Board Member, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, as well as Yulia Tkach (attending in person)—Adjunct of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology and Police Major.
The training brought together UAWLE members to discuss gender equality, professional development, and psychological resilience. Key topics of discussion included:
✔ Gender equality and non-discrimination
✔ The importance of psychological self-regulation for effective work
✔ The role of gender equality in creating a safer society
In addition to the training sessions, a landmark event took place—the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between UAWLE and the Association of Women Police Officers of Moldova.
At the conclusion of the training, all participants received certificates of completion.
