Every week, in their free time from studies, cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs participate in city volunteer initiatives, providing support to Ukraine’s defenders.
Cadets from the Faculty of Training for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine consistently assist at the “PavuChary z Dnipra” volunteer center. As part of this initiative, they produce pillows for soldiers, overseeing every stage of production – from cutting the fabric to final sewing. Thanks to their efforts, Ukrainian defenders regularly receive comfortable and high-quality essentials for use in field conditions.
Additionally, future law enforcement officers assist in packing humanitarian aid delivered to the frontline and military hospitals. They also continue to weave camouflage nets as part of the “Vuzlyk Dopomohy” project, recognizing that such materials are vital for concealing military positions.
Beyond hands-on work, cadets eagerly learn from experienced volunteers. Recently, they attended the “Unity Power” event, which brought together volunteer organizations from Dnipro and other cities of Ukraine. The event showcased numerous initiatives, including:
– Rebuilding war-affected cities.
– Tactical first-aid training.
– Drone operation workshops.
– Soldering power banks for military personnel.
Cadets emphasized the significance of volunteering not only for personal development but also for the strengthening of Ukraine’s volunteer movement.
“Every minute spent on volunteering is a personal contribution to our shared victory. We cannot stand aside when we have the chance to help those risking their lives for our country. We encourage young people to join volunteer efforts and support both local and nationwide initiatives. This fosters responsibility, unity, and the resilience of the Ukrainian people,” said DSUIA cadets.
