A training session on writing and formatting scientific reports, as well as creating accompanying presentations, was organized by the Department for the Organization of Scientific Activities at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The event was attended by members of the Scientific Society of Higher Education Applicants of DSUIA and students from the Dnipro Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after O. Hostishchev.
The Chair of the Council of Young Scientists of DSUIA, Police Major, Doctor of Law, Professor Vita Kononets, spoke about the importance of youth scientific research and encouraged participants to actively engage in writing abstracts, competition papers, scientific reports, and presenting at conferences. The Deputy Chair of the Scientific Society, Hanna Terekhova, covered key aspects of structuring reports, methods of information retrieval, and shared her personal experience in scientific writing.
Serhii Tsyhulskyi, Head of the Scientific Work Organization Department and Candidate of Historical Sciences, introduced participants to various software tools for creating presentations. Meanwhile, Maria Khlivna, Head of the Scientific Society, provided a detailed explanation of the stages of preparing presentations for scientific speeches, offering valuable tips on making presentations more engaging for the audience.
Higher education applicants and lyceum students listened attentively, asked questions, and actively interacted with the organizers.
At the end of the event, Senior Research Fellow of the Department for the Organization of Scientific Activities, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Shkurko, summarized the meeting and announced the next training session, which will focus on the fundamentals of rhetoric.
