The event was organized for cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine to help them acquire practical skills in their field.

The session was held with the participation of Police Lieutenant Colonel Yevhen Zelenskyi, who returned to the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs after completing a training assignment as an inspector at the Training Center of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region.

During the meeting, he introduced cadets to the specifics of police work in settlements constantly affected by artillery and missile shelling, as well as drone attacks by the Russian Federation. The discussion focused in particular on the responsibilities of police officers in maintaining public safety and order, protecting human rights and freedoms, and combating crime.

The guest shared his experience in monitoring citizens’ compliance with curfew regulations, the procedures for checking personal documents and vehicles, and preventing cases of looting in homes damaged by shelling and abandoned by their owners. Special attention was paid to the issues of legality and the personal safety of police officers.

Meetings with field practitioners are an integral part of the educational process at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Such events help cadets not only reinforce their theoretical knowledge but also learn from professionals with years of experience and receive valuable advice for their future careers.
