NEWS

At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, cadets took part in a curatorial hour during which they had the opportunity to communicate with an experienced investigator who shared insights into working in the field of international cooperation.

The meeting was organized by Volodymyr Kyianytsia, a lecturer at the Department of Criminal Procedure at DSUIA, for cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine.

The guest speaker was Tetiana Badalova, an adjunct at the Department of Criminal Procedure at DSUIA and a senior investigator for especially important cases at the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, holding the rank of police major. The topic of the session focused on international cooperation and the work of joint investigation teams.

The cadets learned about the procedure for declaring a person internationally wanted, the interaction between the National Police of Ukraine and Interpol and Europol, as well as the cooperation process between the NPU and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

In addition, Tetiana Badalova explained the specifics of conducting procedural actions abroad, extradition as a means of combating crime, and the application of the in absentia procedure for suspects—when court proceedings take place in the absence of the accused within the country.

Such knowledge helps cadets master the professional nuances of international cooperation in law enforcement.
