Sports Rehabilitation: Veterans Returning to Active Life at DSUIA

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) continues to implement its sports rehabilitation program for military veterans, aimed at promoting both physical and psychological recovery.

The training sessions take place in the university’s gym, under the guidance of experts from the Department of Special Physical Training. Veterans from the Dnipropetrovsk region, who have returned from the frontline, are participating in these sessions to regain strength and improve their overall well-being.

The program includes gym workouts focused on enhancing physical fitness, muscle strengthening, and coordination development. Each session is individually tailored to meet the specific recovery needs of the veterans, helping them overcome the challenges of war aftermath and gradually reintegrate into everyday life.

According to the organizers, sports activities not only support physical rehabilitation but also foster a supportive environment, where veterans can connect with one another, share their experiences, and build motivation together.

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ educational, scientific, and sports project called “Friendly Support”.
