Lecturers of the Department of Language Training invited participants of the conversation club to discuss current topics related to crimes and offenses.
The session was opened by Senior Lecturer Yuliia Halenko, who introduced participants to new vocabulary and language structures relevant to the topic of the meeting. The participants recalled personal experiences when they or their acquaintances became victims or witnesses of offenses.
As a result of the meeting, participants expanded their vocabulary with up-to-date terms related to criminal offenses and administrative violations, which they had encountered in practice, everyday life, or fiction.
Experts noted that regular attendance at English language classes contributes not only to deepening knowledge but also significantly enhances language competence, which is extremely important for scholars in today’s globalized world.
