On-Site Civil Protection Training at DSUIA

NEWS

The event was organized to ensure coordinated actions among the management team, civil protection units and services, as well as the staff and students of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

According to the training scenario, the university’s duty officer reported that an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle had struck a building, resulting in damage to the 6th floor and the discovery of injured individuals.

After an alert was issued via the notification system, students and staff of DSUIA proceeded in an organized manner to a shelter.

Emergency response units from the State Emergency Service (SES) promptly arrived at the scene, evacuated a simulated victim, and extinguished a simulated fire. Medical personnel provided the victim with emergency first aid.

During the training, DSUIA staff and students practiced actions in accordance with the civil protection plan, strictly following established procedures under conditions as close to real as possible. This included practicing the use of fire extinguishers and participating in a first aid master class based on the MARCH protocol.

Such training sessions not only assess the readiness of all response units in the event of an emergency but also help participants build confidence in their actions, enhance safety in the educational environment, and reduce risks to life and health in the event of a real threat.
