All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Issues of Service and Combat Activities of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Sector Forces”

The event was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training, the Department of Firearms Training, and the Department of Tactical and Special Training at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).

The conference was opened by DSUIA Vice-Rector, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Police Colonel Oleksandr Yunin. On behalf of the university’s leadership, he welcomed participants, emphasizing the importance of the chosen topic for researchers at higher education institutions with specific training conditions, and wished for productive and engaging discussions.

The conference was held in a hybrid format, covering the following areas:

• Contemporary issues of physical training and education for cadets and students at higher education institutions with specific training conditions;

• Psychological support for the service and combat activities of Ukraine’s security and defense forces;

• Development and use of UAV technologies in the service and combat activities of security and defense sector forces, among others.

Participants discussed the improvement of service-applied martial arts for law enforcement agencies, international experience in service and combat activities of security and defense forces and its potential application in Ukraine, challenges and prospects of professional selection for future law enforcement officers, and the specifics of tactical medicine training for security sector personnel under martial law conditions.

Based on the conference outcomes, a resolution will be formulated to integrate scientific expertise into practical activities.

The event served as a platform for exchanging cutting-edge experiences, deepening scientific research, and developing practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of service and combat activities of Ukraine’s security and defense sector forces.
