Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) hosted the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Military Expertise in Current Conditions: Challenges and Solutions.”
The event was organized in collaboration with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the Dnipropetrovsk Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, and the Dnipropetrovsk Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Welcoming remarks were delivered by DSUIA Rector, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morhunov; Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Iryna Hrytsai; and heads of leading forensic institutions and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
The conference brought together over 100 researchers, experts, lawyers, and representatives of law enforcement agencies from various regions of Ukraine. Participants presented topical reports on military, forensic, criminological, economic, and legal issues. Particular attention was given to the identification of weaponry, documentation of war crimes, improvement of expertise methodologies, and interagency cooperation in the fields of security and justice.
Speakers included DSUIA academics, representatives of forensic institutes under the Ministry of Justice, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Prosecutor’s Office, the National Guard of Ukraine, research centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and other institutions. The event also featured poster presentations by higher education students and young researchers.
The conference marked a significant step in advancing the institution of military expertise as a critical component of ensuring national security and justice under martial law conditions.
