The event involved cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), along with Senior Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, Senior Police Lieutenant Khrystyna Derevyanko.
The event took place at a specialized institution for individuals with disabilities, including those with cerebral palsy, and was supported by the “Hug Me” charitable foundation. During the visit, volunteer assistance was provided, including sweets, fruits, and gifts for the institution’s residents. Additionally, an invited psychologist conducted a master class on developing fine motor skills through playful therapy.
Such initiatives help higher education students acquire practical skills in Community Policing—a model of police-community interaction based on principles of inclusivity and social partnership. The event also contributes to building a positive image of the police and increasing public trust.
