The event was organized for second-year cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Preventive Activities and the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation of the National Police of Ukraine.
The Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, in cooperation with the 3054th Military Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, which performs convoying, extradition, and prisoner protection tasks, organized a practical session on the subject “Organization of Convoying Units’ Activities” titled “Organization of Convoying Arrested and Detained Persons.”
The military personnel spoke about the main tasks of the National Guard’s convoying units, their interaction with other bodies, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Criminal Enforcement Service of Ukraine, territorial units of the Judicial Protection Service, and courts.
During the session, the guards demonstrated a special “AZ” type vehicle, allowing the cadets to inspect the driver’s cabin and the body of the vehicle. The military personnel also showcased the general procedures for convoying detained or sentenced individuals and simulated emergency situations that could arise during convoying. The cadets practiced the procedures for loading and unloading such individuals from special vehicles, inspecting courtrooms, transporting convicts, searching them, as well as actions in case of emergencies and preventing breaches of public order.
