Crypto Assets and Cybersecurity: Online Lecture for DSUIA Cadets

Ruslana Shpytko, Chief Operative Officer of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine, conducted an online meeting with DSUIA cadets, focusing on crypto assets and modern digital challenges.

The event was organized for 2nd-year cadets from the faculties training specialists for criminal police units and pre-trial investigation bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.

During the lecture, Ruslana Shpytko discussed the history of money, the emergence of blockchain technology, the operation of the Bitcoin network, decentralized technologies, and the principles of blockchain transactions.

Cadets learned about types of cryptocurrency wallets, varieties of cryptocurrencies, the significance of transaction IDs, and the functioning of cryptocurrency exchanges. Special attention was given to the most common crimes in the field of virtual assets.

Thanks to the meeting, cadets deepened their knowledge of cybersecurity and acquired practical skills to effectively counter digital threats in their future law enforcement careers.
