Cooperation Between the Patrol Police and the Military Law Enforcement Service: Joint Lesson for Advanced Training Course Participants

Law enforcement officers from the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Poltava regions took part in the event.

The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Process in cooperation with the Department for Qualification Upgrading and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning at DSUIA.

Colonel Maksym Chernii, Head of the Department for Detection, Prevention, and Suppression of Offenses — Deputy Head of the Eastern Territorial Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service, acted as the speaker.

Maksym Chernii introduced the participants to the specific features of the functioning of the Military Law Enforcement Service, explained the key provisions of the legislation and regulatory acts governing the responsibility of servicemen for crimes, disciplinary offenses, and other violations.

The session focused on the algorithm of joint actions in case of detecting offenses committed by servicemen, as well as the procedures for responding to such incidents. The participants discussed ways to establish effective cooperation between patrol police units and the Military Law Enforcement Service, particularly regarding the detention of servicemen for committing administrative or criminal offenses, including in the context of domestic violence.

The topic generated considerable interest among the participants, as such sessions are a vital element in ensuring public order, legal awareness, and the professional training of law enforcement officers in the face of modern challenges.
