DSUIA Cadets Delivered a Lecture on Counteracting False Bomb Threats in Educational Institutions

NEWS

The Student-Cadet Council of the university actively organizes career guidance activities for high school students.

Cadets held a thematic lecture for 9th-grade students of Lyceum No. 67 “Dzherelo” of the Dnipro City Council titled “The Problem of False Bomb Threats and Measures to Counteract Them in Schools and Educational Institutions.”

The students learned about the real dangers posed by false bomb threats, which have recently become a serious issue for the Ukrainian education system. The cadets explained the legal responsibility for knowingly providing false information about an explosive threat, as well as the consequences of such actions — both for the offenders and the educational process as a whole.

Special attention was given to the importance of not receiving, transferring, or storing unknown objects from strangers in order to avoid involvement in illegal activities. The cadets also explained in detail the algorithm of actions in the event of a reported bomb threat: how to properly evacuate, whom to notify first, and why it is crucial to remain calm and follow instructions.

The lecture also served a career guidance purpose. The cadets shared information about studying at DSUIA, the academic programs offered, and employment opportunities in the National Police of Ukraine. The students learned about admission requirements, features of the educational process, and the daily life and service of cadets. The speakers emphasized that education is the first step toward safety, and awareness is the key to making the right decisions.
