Under the guidance of experienced artists, veterans learned to paint landscapes.
The event was opened by DSUIA First Vice-Rector Ihor Mahdalina, who emphasized the importance of emotional relief and recovery.
During the session, participants were introduced to basic techniques of working with paints and canvas. They practiced painting with both brushes and fingers, aiming to express emotions through color and form. For inspiration, they were shown works by Dnipro artists.
Art therapy is an effective tool for psychological recovery. According to experts, it helps reduce anxiety, restore a sense of control, express emotions without words, and foster inner balance. Such events support veterans’ mental health and provide opportunities for creative self-expression.
