The Department of Criminal Procedure at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) continues its practice of conducting binary seminars, involving practitioners to train future law enforcement officers.
As part of the “Criminal Procedure” course, Viktoriia Rohalska, Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Candidate of Legal Sciences, and Police Major, held a seminar for 2nd-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine on the topic “Participants in Criminal Proceedings.” The event was joined by Maksym Taus, a judge from the Novokodatskyi District Court of Dnipro.
The cadets explored general provisions and problematic aspects of the exercise of rights and powers by participants in criminal proceedings, including investigators, prosecutors, investigating judges, suspects, victims, and witnesses. Through dialogue with the judge, future legal professionals received constructive practical feedback, which will help them better understand the nuances of professional activities.
