A red poppy crafting workshop — a symbol of remembrance for those who perished in World War II — was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The event was led by Lieutenant Colonel of Police Nataliia Karnaukh, Head of the Department for Social and Humanitarian Work, as part of the patriotic creativity club’s activities.
During the workshop, cadets and students of the Oleksandr Hostishchev Security-Oriented and National-Patriotic Education Lyceum at DSUIA not only learned the technique of creating the red poppy traditionally worn on May 8, but also discussed the origins of the symbol — one that unites the pain of loss with hope for a peaceful future.
The event served as both an emotional and educational space, helping young people to gain a deeper understanding of the past and contribute to preserving national memory.
